Job Title: Assistant Manager AccountsDepartment:Finance Accounting Services (FAS)Location:Karachi, PakistanReporting Line:Director FAS (Functional reporting to Manager Finance Accounting)Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and results-drivenAssistant Manager Accountsto support financial accounting, reporting, and control activities. The role is responsible for end-to-end finance and accounting processes, month-end close, general ledger management, and management reporting, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal control standards. This position requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to supervise accounting operations in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting Month-End CloseManage end-to-end finance and accounting processes for assigned client entities or business units. Oversee month-end and year-end close activities with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Maintain and review general ledger accounts and supporting schedules. Prepare, review, and analyze management accounts and periodic financial reports. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with US GAAP.Management Financial ReportingPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Review financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards. Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial analysis activities.Treasury, Cash Flow AP/ARManage cash flow reporting, bank reconciliations, and treasury-related activities. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payments. Act as the primary point of contact for invoice, payment, and vendor-related queries.Client, Vendor Stakeholder CoordinationCoordinate with client onsite teams to resolve accounting and reporting queries proactively. Monitor outsourcing vendors and review monthly Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure performance targets are met. Communicate financial information clearly through professional business writing.Team Leadership ControlsSupervise, review, and guide accounting staff on daily operations and month-end close tasks. Prepare and maintain process documentation, control checklists, and log sheets. Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.Process Improvement ProjectsIdentify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and efficiency enhancements.
