This role goes beyond traditional DBA responsibilities, emphasizing automation, cloud database services, and close collaboration with application teams.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister, maintain, and support production and non-production database environmentAutomate routine DBA tasks to reduce manual effort and operational riskSupport and improve CI/CD pipelines for database changesOperate and support cloud-managed database servicesAdvise teams on database selection, configuration, and scaling strategiesRequirementsStrong SQL expertise with hands-on experience in performance tuningDeep knowledge of at least one major database platform (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle), with working familiarity across othersExperience with cloud database services (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred) and Git-based workflowsScripting and automation skills using Python or similar languagesExperience with CI/CD practices for database changes and schema management frameworksObservability experience, including metrics, logging, and alerting for database systemsDisclaimer:CodeNinja is an equal opportunity employer.
