Role: Accounting AssociateLocation: Karachi, Pakistan (Onsite)Work Week: Saturday ThursdayWork Timings: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM (Saudi Arabian Time Zone)Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payments, identifying and correcting errors, maintaining financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. This role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contributing to the audit process.Key Responsibilities:Payment Processing:Process customer and vendor payments accurately and efficientlyEnsure all payments are recorded in the financial system promptly and accuratelyReconcile payment discrepancies and resolve any issues with vendors or customersError Identification and Correction:Review financial transactions to identify errors or inconsistenciesCorrect errors in a timely manner to maintain accurate financial recordsInvestigate and resolve discrepancies in financial dataAccounting and Financial Bookkeeping/Reporting:Support month-end and year-end closing processesMaintaining asset cycle, processing accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely mannerPrepare and maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and other documentationReconcile bank statements and assist with month-end closing procedureSupport the audit process by providing necessary documentation and informationKnowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., IRFS, ISA) is a plusCollaboration and Communication:Work closely with other departments to gather necessary accounting and financial informationCommunicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial mattersSupport the finance team in various accounting tasks and projects as neededOthers:Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsQualifications:CAF/ACCA/ICMA Finalist or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)2 years and above proven experience in accounting or finance rolesAttention to detail and accuracy in financial reportingWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
