About The RoleAs a Python Developer – AI at AIO, you will play a key role in building and scaling our AI-powered backend systems. You will be responsible for developing high-performance FastAPI services, integrating LLMs into live production environments, and ensuring seamless collaboration across AI, front-end, and DevOps teams. This role will involve designing secure and scalable microservices, managing databases with SQLAlchemy, and applying best practices in testing, performance, and cloud deployment. You’ll also contribute to the optimization of AI model deployments, monitor system health in production, and help shape innovative solutions that drive real business value for our customers in the US restaurant industry.What will be your responsibilities?Design and develop high-performance FastAPI services using asynchronous patterns and clean architecture principles.Implement and maintain both microservice-based and monolithic applications as per module complexity and scalability needs.Integrate AI/LLM models with live backend systems to automate and optimize restaurant operations.Experience with backend distributed asynchronous processing through frameworks like CeleryBuild and manage database schemas using SQLAlchemy, ensuring consistency, speed, and security.Collaborate with AI, front-end, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth E2E system flows.Document and version APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI standardsStay current with Python, AI, and cloud-native advancements to drive innovation.Ensure AI solutions adhere to best practices in software engineering, including unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, and load testing.Participate in the design and optimization of microservices architectures and message broker systems to support AI model deployment.Implement data visualization, monitoring, and alerting tools to track AI model performance and system health in production.Apply security best practices for APIs and sensitive data handling (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).What are we looking for, and what does it require to be the right fit for this role?Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, AI, or a related field.1-2 years of backend development experience in Python with AI integrations, including FastAPIHands-on experience with LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, LLaMA, Mistral, Mixtral), and their APIs.Practical experience in integrating AI models or LLMs into production-grade APIsExpertise in cloud environments such as AWS with hands-on experience in services like Lambda/Serverless, SQS, S3, EC2 and ECS.Strong skills in Git for source control, code review, and repository management.Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and managing microservices architectures.Expertise in building highly distributed, eventually consistent AI systems.Familiarity with message broker systems and scalable data pipelines.Experience with data visualization, monitoring, and alerting tools to maintain production of AI models.Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies like SQLAlchemy, Redis, and queuing.Why Join AIO?Our mission is to revolutionize the US restaurant industry by providing a comprehensive and fully integrated solution that empowers restaurant owners to efficiently manage all aspects of their business.
