Senior Network Engineer at ibex | Lahore

ibex.is looking for a Senior Network Engineer who has experience with WAN protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), LAN/WLAN (DNS, IP Addressing, QoS, Spanning Tree, Multicast), Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco ISR/ASR routers and can provide Tier-1/2/3 support in order to diagnose and resolve escalated issues.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot Provide Tier-1/2/3 support in order to diagnose and resolve escalated issues that may cause Service Degradation or Interruption in the Connectivity of Data Center, DR, Regional Hubs, and All branches.Look after network infrastructure and handle new tasks independentlyPerform network maintenance and system upgradesMonitor performance and ensure system availability and reliabilityMonitor resource utilization, trending, and capacity planningWork within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructureSelect and implement security rules, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the companys security teamLiaise with internal/external teams for problem resolutionHandling network queries received from operations (end user)Maintain network tools and application like Orion, TACACS, Configuration BackupsJoin bridges, look after trouble tickets, respond to network queriesCoordinate with carrierConfigure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs etc.)QualificationsMasters or Bachelors degree in computer science or engineering4 to 5 years with WAN protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF,), LAN/WLAN (DNS, IP Addressing, QoS, Spanning Tree, Multicast), Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco ISR/ASR routersKnowledge of NG-Firewalls (Multi-vendor, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortigate), Security products/practices ACLs, Firewalls, VPN, etc.Knowledge of wireless access controllers and access points.Project experience implementing core infrastructure, networking and cloud-based services for business teams or consumersExperienced in SDN/SD-WAN and Public Cloud, Security products/practices ACLs, Firewalls, VPN, etc.Routing, Switching, VPNs troubleshooting expertise. Understanding of WAN and internet multi-homing architecture.Experienced in Security Audits, network patching/upgrades, and network security compliance policies.ITIL and Enterprise Change ManagementProject experience implementing core infrastructure, networking, and cloud-based services for business teams or consumersOperational excellence with knowledge of ITIL practicesStrong NG-Firewalls Experience (Multi-vendor, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortigate)Cisco IOS, Cisco ASA/ Palo Alto (Firewall), Fortinet Wireless, Solar Winds and/or other Network Management utilitiesTeam Management ibex.
