Job DescriptionBackground:UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. Attention is given to issues of excluded groups and their capacity to lobby so that they become part of mainstream in the decision making and planning.UN Women provides technical advisory and services on womens economic empowerment, ending violence against women and girls, womens leadership, and participation, including in disaster risk reduction and management and gender integration in planning and budgeting. UN Women works towards ensuring an effective UN response by strengthening the effectiveness, coordination, and quality of outputs on gender equality amongst various stakeholders. The agencys work in Pakistan is guided by the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) and the UN Women Strategic Note 2023-2027, which focuses on normative frameworks and gender disaggregated data systems; innovative gender financing; protection against harmful practices; awareness, voice, agency and leadership; and women economic empowerment.Under the overall guidance of the Country Representative Pakistan CO and the direct technical supervision of the Regional Security Specialist (RSS) for Asia and the Pacific and the daily supervision of Operations Manager, the Security Associate ensures effective execution of security and administrative services at the country and field-Office level. S/he provides assistance in the implementation of the security plan, risk management measures, and all matters relating to safety and security as they pertain to UN Women personnel and assets; and promotes a client oriented approach consistent with UN Women rules and regulations.Key Functions:Provide administrative support to assessing the security situation of Pakistan:Coordinate, and provide administrative support to periodic security assessments of UN Women premises and equipment;Provide administrative support to the coordination of security evaluations for residences (Residential Security Measures - RSM) of UN Women personnel, as well as on latest trends and threats to personnel safety and security;Collect information about possible security threats to personnel, programmes, and assets and provide inputs to reports.Helps assess the security situation at country and field level, and ensures adequate gathering and verification of security information that may be required for a proper analysis of the situation;Provides technical assistance at meetings to support informed decision by the decision makers at the country and field levels.Liaise with local security community:Liaise and coordinate, as appropriate, with the host government security organizations and/or personnel, including national and local provincial authorities, military, and police officers, as well as non-governmental organizations ;Maintain regular contacts with UNDSS, Security Cell members, Security Focal Points (SFPs) and Local Security Assistants (LSAs) of other UN AFPOs, as well as SFPs of national and international NGOs, as required;Participate as a member of security groups, particularly IASMN and UNSMIN Working Groups, as delegated;Attend UN security management meetings such as the country Security Cell, SMT, as delegated.Collect, update and communicate security and safety information including timely reporting of security and safety incidents affecting UN Women personnel, programmes, offices and assets :Draft security unit announcements and notices to personnel;Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of security information and precautions to personnel making use of the warden system/communication tree and emails as appropriate. Maintain Everbridge notification system platform for the AOR;Oversee security and safety evaluations and surveys of Country Office and Sub-Offices/Field Offices;Conduct regular communications with UN Women Security Focal Points;Ensure the proper and timely dissemination of analytical products and outputs of the Security and Safety Services to stakeholders;Provide updates and information to UN Women HQ in relation to input and content of the security and safety intranet portal and documentation.Maintain and review the Security Plan, the Business Continuity Plan including updating personnel lists:Assist in creating/updating the Business Continuity Protocols and Crisis Management Checklists on BCCMA Platform for the CO and Sub Offices;Maintains and tests up-to-date emergency contact lists for all personnel and critical vendors, contractors and consultants (via tools availableProvide inputs to the preparation and review of the UN Women and UN Security Plan;Supports actions during the implementation of the Security Plan, as required;Provide logistical support durin
